Little!Lauren finds a crying Little!Bo and finds a way to fix it.
"Here," the skinny little blonde girl said as she took the butterfly out of the plastic pet keeper and handed it to the brunette.
“It’s alive!” Bo exclaimed as the cradled the fragile creature in her palms.
“I gave it a little sugar water. I guess it was thirsty,” Lauren said shyly, adjusting the oversized cap on her head.
“Thank you,” Bo smiled widely with her white baby teeth. “I thought for sure it was dead.” Her chin quivered when she remembered how the butterfly wouldn’t wake up.
“You shouldn’t cry, you know,” Lauren said. “Your dress is too pretty and your hair is too nice.” She offered a sincere grin.
“Well, um,” Bo said, tugging on her Sunday dress as she thought of an appropriate response to the tomboy’s compliment. “Um, I like your rain boots and I think you’re super smart.”
“I just read it in a book,” Lauren blushed. “I like science,” she mumbled into the cotton of her brother’s borrowed t-shirt.
Aww, this is too cute. Just when I think I can’t adore you more. Will you marry me? Lol.
